Terms of Service

1. 1. What we do

   Reserve A Venue is an online marketplace connecting customers with independent venue owners, mainly in Hyderabad. We show listings, live availability and estimates, and collect booking advances. The venue owner — not Reserve A Venue — provides the venue, food and on-site services.

2. 2. Accounts

   You must be 18 or older and give accurate details. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.

3. 3. Bookings and payments

   • An online booking is confirmed once you pay a 50% advance of the event cost, plus any refundable security deposit shown at checkout.
   • The remaining balance is paid to the venue according to the payment schedule shown in your booking, and in full by the event day.
   • Prices, required fees, taxes (GST, where the venue is registered) and selected extras are shown before you pay. Your booked summary is fixed at booking time.
   • Guest count must stay within the venue's stated capacity.
   • The booking receipt we issue is not a tax invoice; the venue issues any GST invoice.

4. 4. Cancellations and refunds

   Each venue sets its own cancellation policy, shown on the venue page before you book. Refunds follow that policy. Refundable security deposits are returned after the event, normally within 3 days, less any deductions for damage or rule breaches documented by the venue. If a venue cancels, you receive a full refund of amounts paid through us.

5. 5. Venue owner responsibilities

   • Listings go live only after our verification. Owners must keep photos, capacity, pricing, policies and GST details accurate.
   • Owners must keep their calendar up to date and honour every confirmed online booking.
   • A 5% platform fee applies to online bookings only; direct bookings recorded by the owner carry no fee. Online payouts are settled to the owner's registered bank account.
   • Owners are responsible for licences, safety, taxes and the services they provide.

6. 6. Acceptable use

   Do not post false listings or reviews, misuse other people's data, interfere with the site, or attempt to bypass payments or booking rules. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. 7. Content

   You keep ownership of photos and content you upload, and give us permission to display them to provide the service. You confirm you have the right to share them.

8. 8. Limitation of liability

   We work to keep information accurate but do not guarantee venue conditions or services delivered by venue owners. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the platform fees we received for the booking concerned.

9. 9. Privacy

   Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

10. 10. Governing law and disputes

    These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue.
