Privacy Policy

1. 1. Information we collect

   • Account details: name, email address and phone number. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google — never your password.
   • Booking details: event date, session, occasion, guest count, menu choices, cost estimate and payment status.
   • Venue owner details: venue address, photos, pricing, GSTIN, registered business name and payout bank details.
   • Invitations and RSVPs: event details, photos and guest responses you choose to add.
   • Usage data: searches (location, date, guest count), device and browser type, and approximate location if you use "Venues near me".

2. 2. How we use your information

   • To show live availability, confirm bookings and prevent double bookings.
   • To process advance payments, record payouts to venue owners and generate receipts.
   • To share the booking details a venue needs to host your event.
   • To verify venue listings and GST registrations.
   • To provide support, prevent fraud and improve search results.

3. 3. How we share information

   We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

   • The venue you book, so they can host your event.
   • Payment processors that handle your advance payment securely.
   • Service providers that host our website, database and sign-in, under confidentiality obligations.
   • Authorities, when required by law.

4. 4. Google sign-in

   When you choose "Continue with Google", we use your Google name, email and profile picture only to create and sign in to your Reserve A Venue account. We do not access your Gmail, contacts, calendar or files, and we do not share Google user data with third parties for advertising.

5. 5. Data storage and security

   Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls that limit each user to their own records. Payment card details are handled by the payment processor and are never stored by us.

6. 6. How long we keep data

   We keep account data while your account is active. Booking and payment records are kept for up to 8 years to meet Indian tax and accounting rules. Other data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

7. 7. Your rights

   You can access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. To make a request, email hello@reserveavenue.com. We respond within 30 days. Some booking records may be kept where the law requires.

8. 8. Cookies

   We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your shortlist. We do not use advertising cookies.

9. 9. Children

   Our service is meant for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. 10. Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced on the site.
